LUKE 2018 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
An excitingly complex wine, LUKE 2018 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon shows notes of blackberry preserves, grilled toast and baking spices integrated in a deep, dark ruby color. The palate is smooth, yet bold with the structure to age for several years in bottle. Broad shouldered and dense, the tannins are fine-grained and layered, highlighting the power and depth of this amazing vintage. All fruit was hand harvested in late September to mid-October and processed quickly. Lightly crushed then fermented in a mix of stainless-steel bins and barrel, time on skins averaged 16-18 days. Following a gentle press, the wine was aged in French oak barrels, all second fill, for 20 months. (Please note that the 2018 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is not vegan due to egg whites used in the fining process.)
